Thianna D Visits With Finding Their Bliss

Finding Their Bliss CoverI want to thank Liv for having me on her blog today.

Is anyone else tired of summer? Uber-hot days, sweltering nights, with a combination of hot tempers and people who – even though they drive air-conditioned cars – now drive 10 miles under the speed limit as though they are just too hot to go faster.

I’ve found the easiest way to ‘deal’ with summer is to forget it’s here as often as I can. For me that includes going to the gym, writing, and reading – lots and lots of reading.

I thought I’d mention a few of my favorite books – who knows? You might find a new classic.

The following are separated by genre:

M/M erotic romance

Try by Ella Frank: Logan’s used to getting what he wants while Tate has always thought he was straight. Fortunately, Logan is someone that in short order, he cannot resist.

Take by Ella Frank: Sequel to Try: With Logan and Tate in a relationship, it’s time for Tate to tell his family. One problem – they are anti-gay.

I give these books 4 out of 5 stars. Well-written with a very high heat level. I love a good story with sex. These books have more than some – I’d say with Try, it’s more sex with a side of storyline. But overall – very good reads and if you enjoy M/M fiction, well worth it!

M/M paranormal erotic romance

Whyborne & Griffin by Jordan L Hawk: Take two men in the late 1800s where homosexuality is illegal, one a repressed scholar, the other an ex-Pinkerton, put them in the path of magic most foul and you have the best, most amazing story.

5 out of 5 stars (I’d give more if it was possible)

I’m rec’ing the 3-in-1 set, but you can get any of these books individually as well. Though I wouldn’t suggest it – once you start with Widdershins, you won’t want to stop.

Widdershins

5 stars! I’m tellin’ ya! You have to read this book. Suspense, mystery, M/M erotic romance, takes place in a creepy museum with an amazing cast of characters. A philologist (Whyborne) who is shy and stutters and grabs your attention right off, his love interest (Griffin) who has his own sordid past and yet is a an amazing character, Christine the lone female doc who is trying to make it in a man’s world and is Whyborne’s friend, family secrets, a brotherhood cult, an evil genius brought back from the dead, and half human creatures that suck the blood out of their victims to survive.

Threshold

Another rec! This time Book #2 Threshold of the Whyborne & Griffin series. Definitely 5 stars. Whyborne and Griffin, along with their feisty friend Christine are in for a bit of a shock when they travel to Threshold to do a little work for Whyborne’s father. Seems his mine is having ‘problems’. These problems turn out to be creatures from outer space that look like HUGE crustaceans and spend their time cutting people apart and sewing them back together in unlikely combinations. Added to their fun is an ex-lover of Griffin’s who isn’t happy with Griffin & Whyborne being together, jealousy on poor Whyborne’s part because the man’s gorgeous, flirty saloon girls who adore Whyborne, people changing personalities overnight, people disappearing and reappearing as zombie-esque creatures, Pinkertons, a mine, creepy-crawlies, the chance to travel to other galaxies in a bodiless state, and Griffin and Whyborne having to hide their relationship by sleeping in different beds? And why aren’t you reading it yet?

Stormhaven

Whyborne & Griffin, best series I’ve read since I found Falls Chance Ranch last June…and in a completely different way. So, a HUGE 5 stars to Stormhaven, book 3. So, what happens in Stormhaven that makes it worth reading? Well, while in the other two books we had an evil sorcerer returned from the dead and curious aliens who had no respect for humanity, in this book we’ve got a lunatic asylum and a dweller in the deep (gotta love fish men). So, after a murder most foul which an associate of Whyborne’s has been accused, Griffin takes the case, only to have to step into Stormhaven Lunatic Asylum to interview the accused. Not only does the asylum bring back memories he wishes were long dead, but he runs into the man who declared him insane. It’s a race against time as Whyborne fights off dreams that are plaguing him from the dweller and Griffin tries to put on a happy front for his visiting family even as they work to try and prove Alan’s innocence. For once, all their work may not be enough. Great story, fantastic twist at the end, men in dressing gowns, girls who hear voices, an annoyed Christine, a decision that must be made, things that seem as they are not, lots of Griffin/Whyborne loving, and new magic spells to explore.

Read this series! It’s SO AMAZING!

M/F Erotic Romance

I don’t read as much M/F anymore because I find I’m not liking too many of the heroines lately. But…I do highly recommend:

Coursodon Dimension series – Overall 4.7 out of 5 stars

Special Offers: 5 out of 5 stars

I wasn’t sure what to expect of Special Offers except for the fact it sounded interesting. WOW! The story had me laughing and page turning! I could not get enough and I already know I will be re-reading it.

The three main characters: Hailey, Alex, and Sebastian were well written, and I especially loved Hailey and Sebastian. I loved Hailey’s sense of humor and the way the author wrote simple everyday things and made them humorous. Even Hailey’s ‘job’ was hilarious – she is a Chinchilla milker – yeah think on that one. LOL. Sebastian was loveable in an “I am pompous and I know it” way.

I am one of those readers who can usually tell what is going to happen in a story, but this one gave me several surprises – especially the last few chapters (which I will not give away because you really need to read it to believe it)!

And now, I am anxiously waiting for the second in the series.

Amazing novel!

Special Rewards: 5 out of 5 stars

I read the first in the Coursodon Dimension series and absolutely loved it from cover to cover, so when the author asked me to pre-read the sequel I was cautiously excited. Cautiously because in any given series, the second book never lives up to how wonderful the first book was, right?

Wrong! Special Rewards met and even exceeded my expectations. It kept me riveted to where I did not want to put the story down.

Hailey is the same person she was in Special Offers – cooky sense of humor, strange dreams, and overall loveable heroine; only she now has to deal with some residual magic leftover from her time as a temporary human host for Sebastian Kess, a magical being from another dimension. Sebastian is his usual charming (*cough* full of himself) self; Alex is as in love with her and as charming as he was in the first, if not more so; and Hailey has become somewhat of an animal whisperer. Or at least an animal Pied Piper.

In Special Rewards, we meet some more individuals from the Coursodon Dimension; from government officials, to the head of the Xyzok, to members of a royal family. I don’t want to give anything away, but I must encourage you to read Special Rewards. Make sure and read Special Offers first, because while things are explained well, they will make even more sense if you have read the first book.

For those of you like me, who love the ever irascible Sebastian, never fear, he might not inhabit Hailey’s body anymore, but he still manages to steal the show whenever he shows up. Such a drama queen, but don’t tell him I said so. He would probably lecture me for hours about how he could not possibly be one.

Do you enjoy romance with a paranormal twist with a splash of humor that will make you snort Pepsi out of your nose if you take a drink at the wrong moment? Then this book is for you.

Special Attraction: 4 out of 5 stars

While I loved this book almost as much as the first two, I gave it 4 stars because it took me longer to get into. That said – it still has that wonderful flavor of the first two. In this one Hailey spreads her wings a bit and helps the Xyzok out. There are some great scenes with Sebastian, a dog who isn’t a dog, and the existence of a third dimension. Alex and Hailey still can’t keep their hands off one another and Sebastian comes complete with his wonderful one liners.

I’m anxiously waiting for book 4 as I hope there will be even more Sebastian.

Okay, I could go into more books I love, but Liv invited me here also to give you a glimpse at my newest work.

Finding Their Bliss, first in the multi-author DD erotic romance series Corbin’s Bend.

Brent Carmichael loved Corbin’s Bend. A small community at the base of the Rocky Mountains just for spankofiles, he worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly and that the residents were safe and happy. He never intended to fall in love but when Charmagne Kendle stumbled into his life, he found an attraction he had no intention of fighting.

Char moved to Corbin’s Bend after losing her job, her apartment, and her fiancé all in one day. She had no idea she was actually moving to a spanking community but with the freedom to explore her secret fetish, she found herself happily upended over Brent’s lap.

As their relationship deepened into domestic discipline, her ex appeared wanting her back. Now she had to choose. The rich, handsome, and charming Nathan Korven or former police officer Brent Carmichael. To find her bliss, there was really only one choice.

I created this wonderful universe and am happy to say that many other authors have jumped in and made it a wonderful place to be. Do you enjoy romance? Erotica? Spanking? Domestic Discipline? Then this just might be the book for you 🙂

Excerpt from Finding Their Bliss:

“Do you want me to undress you? Or do you want me to watch?”

No guy had ever asked her that. Nathan always undressed facing away from her and waited until she got into bed before he would turn around. Just the thought of Brent watching her undress was such a turn on.

“Watch,” she whispered, though where she found the strength to do so, she had no idea.

Gazing into her eyes with a look that made her tremble, he took a step back and crossed his arms, his whole stance making her drool; he looked like a model for some spanking porn. Swinging her legs over the side of her bed, she kicked off her shoes and then wondered: can I make this sexy? She had never undressed for a guy before. Slightly shaky, she reached for the hem of her sweater and pulled it up over her head before tossing it to the side. There was no way she could watch him watch her, so she concentrated on unbuttoning her jeans slowly. But when it came to taking them off, she became a little awkward and turned around, bending over as she did so.

His inhalation made her freeze and then moan as his warm hands rubbed over her buttocks. “Anyone ever tell you that your ass is perfect?” he murmured.

Still bent over, she looked at him over her shoulder. “Uh, no. Nathan said it was my worst feature. That for as tiny as I was, it was too fat.”

His eyes, blazing with something that she did not understand but instantly felt herself pulled toward, met hers. “He was an idiot. Each one of your cheeks,” he continued to stroke, “was made by a master’s firm touch.” A low moan left his throat as he bent over and kissed each cheek, making liquid gush from her core. He inhaled again and something akin to a growl rumbled in his chest. “You smell wonderful.”

When his hands lightly grasped her waist, holding her in place, his lips began to trail up her spine, kissing and licking each ridge.

“So beautiful,” he murmured as he kept going, slowly lifting her upper body up the higher he went until she was standing straight, and he nibbled on her neck. Her only warning was the feel of his fingers on her back before her bra released and he tipped the straps over her shoulders. The bra fell to the ground, she was pretty sure, but she forgot about it as his hands took each of her globes in his hands and squeezed lightly.

“Yes,” she murmured as he pulled her back against him.

“Warm,” he whispered, “and the perfect handful.”

Thianna D is an author of erotica and erotic romance, many of her books either domestic discipline or BDSM in nature. She loves to write about the emotional aspects of these kinds of relationships.

Finding Their Bliss came about from her fantasy about a perfect community where spanking and loving discipline were the norm. She was thrilled when eight other authors joined in to create the Corbin’s Bend series, a set of erotic spanking novels and novellas.
